FULL DAY VOICEOVER WORKSHOP Saturday August 28th
Held at Absolute Pitch Studios - on River Road in Bethesda.
We’ll be working with Master Engineer Chip Ellinghaus who will record your work and create an MP3 for you to take with you at the end of the day.
Class size is kept low so everyone gets to work, learn and stretch their acting and VO muscles.
The fee for the Full Day Workshop is $385 with some discounts available.
10am-5pm with a break for lunch, which is a great chance to network and prep for the afternoon.
There will be plenty of opportunity for everyone to get in front of the Microphone.
The workshop is a great environment to learn about your own style, strengths and weaknesses by watching and working with others. The day will be a lot of fun and you’ll come away with:
* The realities of the Voice Over world. Is it for you? * Improv techniques.
* Finding your natural read and how to get there. * Thinking on your feet.
* What to do once you get the job. * Breathing and timing.
* A CD copy of all your tracks. * And certainly some unexpected discoveries!

This hands-on workshop will help you get great visuals and decent sound. On Saturday, you will learn how to frame the documentary interview, how to effectively use both natural and artificial light inside and outside, and how to produce good sound -- all using the most basic tools available. For those interested in having additional time to practice their new skills, we have added a second optional day in which you will do field shooting in a small team locally in the morning and spend the afternoon with Jon reviewing and critiquing your footage. Limited to 9 participants. Earlybird discount if sign up before September 1.
